Our story
Christopher and Shaun Sibel created Koa’s Lounge as a labor of love.
Their story began in Hilo, where they first met and discovered a shared love for Hawaii’s culture, creativity, and community. That connection eventually grew into marriage in Hawi — and later into a family of hospitality brands built around memorable experiences.
As the owners of Koa’s Events, a wedding and event venue in Mountain View, and Koa’s Mobile Bar, a traveling bar service serving the Big Island, Chris and Shaun have built their lives around bringing people together. Koa’s Lounge became the next expression of that vision: a welcoming, stylish place where great drinks, music, and conversation all meet.
Every detail reflects that intention — from the bohemian design language to the island-inspired energy of the room. Their hope is that Koa’s Lounge feels like an extension of home, but with the spark of a night out worth remembering.
