Our Story
Koa’s Lounge is a labor of love brought to life by husband-and-wife duo Christopher and Shaun Sibel. Their story began in Hilo, where they first met and shared a mutual love for the vibrant island culture, and blossomed into marriage in the picturesque town of Hawi. With a shared passion for hospitality and community, they have dedicated their lives to creating unique experiences that celebrate the spirit of Hawaii.
As the owners of Koa's Events, a wedding and event venue in Mountain View, and Koa's Mobile Bar, a traveling bar service available for events across the island, Chris and Shaun bring their commitment to excellence and island-inspired hospitality into everything they do. They envisioned Koa’s Lounge as a place that would feel like an extension of home—a welcoming, creative space where friends and family could come together to enjoy great food, drinks, and unforgettable moments. Their love for the Big Island shines through in every detail, from the bohemian decor to the handcrafted, locally inspired menu.
