Bartender/Server

Position Overview: As a Bartender/Server at Koa’s Lounge, you'll play a dual role in providing outstanding customer service both behind the bar and on the floor. You'll craft signature cocktails, serve our delightful menu items, and ensure our guests have an unforgettable experience. This part-time position offers consistent shifts and the opportunity to grow within our team.


What We Offer:

Base Pay: $14.00 per hour (plus tips).

Key Responsibilities:

Bartending Duties:

Prepare and serve beverages according to our cocktail menu and guest requests.

Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including tools, ingredients, and glassware.

Restock bar supplies and communicate inventory needs to the manager.


Serving Duties:

Greet guests warmly and provide menu recommendations, including food and drink pairings.

Take orders accurately, deliver food and beverages promptly, and check in on guest satisfaction.

Handle payments efficiently and ensure proper cash handling procedures.


Cross-Functional Tasks:

Assist with setting up and breaking down the bar and dining areas at the beginning and end of shifts.

Collaborate with kitchen staff for order accuracy and timing.

Prepare basic items such as garnishes, syrups, and dehydrated fruits as needed.

 

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a bartender and/or server preferred.

Knowledge of mixology and cocktail preparation; willingness to learn our signature drinks.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Ability to multitask and manage both bar and table service efficiently.

Must be at least 21 years old.

Availability to work evenings, weekends, and special events like football Sundays.

A positive attitude and team-oriented mindset that embodies the aloha spirit.

Pizza Chef

Position Overview: As a Pizza Chef at Koa’s Lounge, you’ll prepare high-quality dishes, including pizzas, artisan flatbreads, charcuterie boards, and fresh menu items. Working within a cold kitchen setup and utilizing a Turbo Chef oven, you’ll play a key role in delivering an exceptional dining experience. This part-time position offers consistent shifts and the opportunity to grow within our team.


What We Offer:

Base Pay: $14 per hour (based on experience).

Tip Share: Participate in our tip-sharing program for additional earnings.

Consistent Schedule: Enjoy predictable part-time hours with room for advancement.

Supportive Team Environment: Join a collaborative and dynamic team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook menu items to specification, including pizzas, flatbreads, and charcuterie boards, using a Turbo Chef oven.

Assist with food prep, including garnishes and simple syrups, to support overall operations.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.

Communicate effectively with teammates to ensure timely and accurate service.

Assist with setup and breakdown of the kitchen before and after shifts.

Qualifications:

Previous cooking experience in a fast-paced environment preferred.

Familiarity with Turbo Chef ovens is a strong plus, but not required.

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and during special events.

Strong multitasking and organizational skills.

Barback/Busser

Position Overview: As a Barback/Busser, you’ll assist with maintaining a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar and dining area while supporting the team during busy shifts. You'll also contribute to prepping items like dehydrated fruits and simple syrups. This part-time position offers consistent shifts and opportunities to learn and grow.

Base Pay: $14.00 per hour (plus tips through our tip-sharing program).

Team-Oriented Environment: Work alongside a supportive and dynamic team.

Consistent Schedule: Enjoy predictable part-time hours with room for advancement.

Skill Development: Gain valuable experience in both front-of-house and back-of-house operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Barback Duties:

Restock bar supplies, including glassware, garnishes, ice, and beverages.

Assist bartenders by preparing basic items like simple syrups and garnishes.

Keep the bar area clean, organized, and ready for service.


Busser Duties:

Clear and reset tables efficiently, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for guests.

Support servers by delivering water, utensils, and other table essentials.

Assist with carrying food and drinks to tables during busy shifts.


General Support:

Assist with setup and breakdown of the bar and dining area before and after shifts.

Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure cleanliness and compliance.

 

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a similar role is a plus, but not required.

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and during special events.

A proactive attitude with excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stay active throughout the shift.
